Jason supports issues I care deeply about: adequate funding and resources for public education and AEAs; the importance of women’s reproductive health care and bodily autonomy; affirmation and support for folks within our community regardless of age, socioeconomic status, gender identity/expression, or religious affiliation. Jason believes in putting people before politics.  

 I wish to live in an Iowa where democracy matters; where transparency matters; where civility matters.

My issue is education, and Jason understands that we are at a critical point in Iowa as it relates to education policy.  If the current governor and legislature have their way, public education in Iowa (once the best in the country) will be unrecognizable.  Jason understands that an investment in our public schools is an investment in the future of Iowa.  We desperately need a voice like Jason's in the Iowa legislature to speak for Iowa's schools and most importantly for Iowa's students.

I want to express my wholehearted endorsement for Jason Menke, who is running for Iowa House District 44. I have known Jason for many years as a devoted volunteer for Cub Scouts and Urbandale School District's fine arts programs and, most recently, as a UCSD school board member. In an era where our communities need passionate and dedicated leaders, Jason stands out as a beacon of hope and progress. As a committed advocate for education, fine arts in schools, freedom of choice, and the belief that every individual is inherently valuable, he embodies the qualities we desperately need in our representatives.

I’ve known Jason for many years, and he’s proven many times to be an advocate for ALL. He’s also very articulate and not afraid to share his point of view with others. He will be a great addition to the Iowa House.

Jason is a long-time Urbandale resident who has been an active volunteer in our schools, bringing strong leadership and organizational skills to support the students and staff in the Urbandale district.  While serving on the Urbandale School Board, and as current Board President, Jason has shown himself to be an approachable, collaborative, open-minded, advocate for every citizen, as well as having a depth of knowledge of the Urbandale community's resources, strengths, and concerns.

Jason is a level-headed person who takes time to listen to the people around him. He places high value on the importance of a well-rounded and open-minded education. He takes a rational approach to decisions that affect the greater good while also considering the needs of the individuals. Jason's integrity lets us know he's a person we can count on to represent HD44.
