We're creating twenty-first-century learning environments for our youngest students that now match the facilities at UMS and UHS. It's the Board's responsibility to ensure that the learning occurring in EVERY classroom meets the needs of twenty-first-century students:
Every candidate running will tell you they're about putting students first, but what exactly does that mean?
Student success must be at the heart of everything we do, but our administrators, teachers and staff are the most important resources we have to deliver on the district's mission.
We must have board members who understand this, and are committed to giving educators the tools they need to teach all and reach all.
In short, anyone who says they're "for the kids" but not willing to express that same commitment to the 800 professionals and staff of UCSD, may not really be "for the kids."
